Colts (Week 15 final thoughts)

As I said on the podcast this week, I think the Steelers match up well with the Colts. The Steelers strength is in their ability to run the ball, and Indianapolis has had difficulty stopping the run this season. I am also optimistic that a full week of practice will help Mitch, the receivers, and the O line. For these reasons I am optimistic and excited heading into Saturday’s game. The Steelers will sense the urgency and “playoff feel” to this game.

I am also excited about the AFC playoff picture shaping up after this game. If the Steelers can win and get to 8-6, with their tie breakers they could be back in the 5 spot by the end of the weekend depending on what Cleveland Flacco’s do against the Bears. The Bears are coming off a strong win agains the Lions and may the carriage turns back into a pumpkin for Joe Flacco.

Steeler nation, we need to believe. We need to hope. We need to root for our team to win this weekend and remember how far out of the playoff picture we were last season with 4 games left.
