Indianapolis (early thoughts)
There are currently 6 teams that have a record of 7-6: Houston, Indianapolis, Denver, Buffalo, Cincinnati, and your Pittsburgh Steelers. The leaders of the AFC have 3, 4, and 5 losses. There are 4 games left to play. The Steelers have an opportunity right in front of them. They have a chance to position themselves in a good wild card spot and essentially knock out one of the contenders for that spot in one game. The Colts lost yesterday by more than two scores to a Cincinnati team the Steelers just beat 2 weeks ago. The Steelers have to understand the sense of urgency that is present after the disastrous 5 day stretch at Acrisure.
I still have faith in Mike Tomlin, Najee Harris, Jaylen Warren, Cam Heyward, Minkah Fitzpatrick and TJ Watt. I think TJ will clear the protocol by end of week, and this defense will tighten up. The offense will get back to its strength and run the ball better than it did against NE. The Steelers can turn a lot of negativity around by going into Indy and winning on Saturday. That would put them a 8-6. Go win the games.
